Elizabeth B. Monty and John P. White are the co-founders and managing directors of Veriti Consulting LLC. Ms. Monty and Mr. White have earned decades of experience in the fields of forensic accounting, business valuation, and litigation support in addition to their audit and tax backgrounds.

Elizabeth B. Monty, CPA/ABV, CFF, CFE, CVA, DABFA

Elizabeth B. Monty has more than 29 years of public accounting experience. Building on her audit and tax background, Ms. Monty has worked extensively in the areas of fraud detection and prevention, economic damages, and valuation of closely-held businesses. She has also undertaken numerous engagements assisting counsel with forensic analysis of financial records, calculation of economic damages, and related activities. She has been appointed as an Examiner with the US Bankruptcy Court in the District of Arizona, and has worked with various state agencies, including the Arizona Department of Financial Institutions, the Arizona Department of Racing, Arizona Department of Education, Arizona Game and Fish, and the Arizona State Board of Accountancy.

Ms. Monty has been engaged as an expert and provided testimony in complex cases on numerous occasions in the fields of fraud and forensic accounting, business valuation and economic damage analysis for criminal and civil cases. Previous to co-founding Veriti, she was a Managing Director responsible for leading the Litigation Support and Business Valuation Group in Phoenix, Arizona for a national accounting firm.  She has also worked as an auditor and tax manager for other international accounting firms.

She holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in accounting from Arizona State University (ASU) and has undertaken advanced studies in taxation. Ms. Monty has also previously served the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU on the School of Accountancy’s Advisory Board. She was also named to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Litigation Steering Committee from 2004 through 2006.

John P White MBA CPA/ABV CFF CFE CBA CrFA ASAJohn P. White, MBA, CPA/ABV, CFF, CFE, CBA, ASA

Mr. White works closely with clients on engagements involving forensic accounting, fraud investigations, economic damages, receivership, business valuation, and expert witness services. During his career he has accumulated more than 23 years of experience in public accounting and financial consulting, including in the education sector where he taught accounting and finance at the university level. Mr. White has broad experience providing expert witness and consulting services on hundreds of cases related to shareholder disputes and litigation, fraud and embezzlement, marital dissolution, and tax controversies. He has given testimony in state and federal courts, arbitration, and mediation in cases related to fraud and forensic accounting, receivership, business valuation, and economic damages. Mr. White has also acquired an extensive background providing court-appointed receiver and special accounting master services in shareholder disputes, liquidation, and distressed entity oversight.  He has been appointed a receiver by the Arizona State Board of Education and state courts.  In addition, Mr. White has further provided fraud examination and forensic accounting services for multiple governmental agencies.

Mr. White holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Radford University, and completed advanced graduate studies in accounting at Virginia Tech. Mr. White holds all major professional credentials in the disciplines of business valuation and forensic accounting.

Gene H. Cole, Jr. CPA/ABV, CVA, CFFGene H. Cole, Jr.

Mr. Cole is a director with Veriti Consulting LLC and provides expert witness testimony, litigation consulting and business valuation services used in discovery assistance, damage and economic loss claims, marriage dissolution, estate and gift taxes, and business succession planning.

Mr. Cole has over 35 years of experience in public and private accounting. Prior to forming a consulting practice in 2008, he was a Managing Director of the Valuation and Litigation Services practice at a large regional CPA firm from 2002 to 2008 and a Partner with a national CPA firm in Wisconsin responsible for the valuation and litigation service practice in central Wisconsin.
